Learn To Swim Lessons for Primary Schoolers: 4 years and older

Enrol Online Now
Our aim for your primary schooler is to develop good swimming skills while still enjoying the learn to swim experience.

Skills taught in this program range from beginner water confidence and treading water to the more formal strokes such as freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. Children are graded by both their skill and physical maturity so that all children in the class are of a similar level. Each class runs for thirty minutes and has a maximum of five children per teacher.

Individual swimming skills in our program have been broken down for ease of learning. As your child masters each skill, new skills are added until your child has a good grasp of the stroke.

Which is the right class for my child?
The following list will guide you through the process.

Rockets: I'm 4 years or older and relaxed in water, I can glide or kick through the water with my face in for a meter or more. I will learn to streamline, use my strong core muscles and long kicking legs as well as developing my breath control, all in preparation for learning my freestyle arms. I will continue to build on safety skills and ability to tread water and swim on my back.

If I'm not at school the best classes for me will be Monday to Sunday mornings.
If I am at school the best classes for me will be after school or Saturday or Sunday morning.

Arms: I'm 4 years or older and have mastered my rockets. I can kick for a meter or two on the surface of the water with my face in and long legs.  In am arms class my teacher will teach me freestyle arms and backstroke.

Breaststroke has been added to the skills i'm learning.
The best classes for me will be after school or Saturday morning.

Super Dippers: I'm 7 years or older and can now easily and correctly swim 25 meters. I'm strong and capable enough to swim for 45 minutes. I'm refining my Free and Back strokes, building on my Breaststroke and learning Butterfly.
