Frequently Asked Questions

How do my swim fees work?
Your monthly fee is simply based on how many lessons fall in that calendar month. If there are four lesson days (e.g. four Mondays), you’ll be charged for four lessons; if there are five, you’ll be charged for five lessons. You won’t be charged for any public holidays when we’re closed. Super Dipper and Missile levels have one set low monthly fee.

Payments are automatically processed on the first of each month to ensure your child’s spot remains secure and lessons continue seamlessly. If the first falls on a weekend or public holiday, the payment may be processed on the next business day.

Are there ways I can make extra savings on lessons?
Absolutely! Be sure to check out our Dipadees’ $s program to see how you can save.

How much are lessons?
Baby Bubble program (3-6 months): FREE for 8 weeks!

Baby and Toddler and Learn to Swim programs (30min):
  • Monday to Friday lessons: $25.90 per lesson (billed monthly)
  • Saturday to Sunday lessons: $26.90 per lesson (billed monthly)
Help your child progress even faster by booking two lessons per week - your second lesson is half price!

Super Dipper Stroke Development (45min):
$108 per month for one session per week.
To maximise your child's progress, you're welcome to request a second session each week - at no extra cost! Just email us at [email protected].

Missile Squads (60min):
$112 per month, with access to up to three
sessions per week - all for the one low monthly fee.

Do I need to re-book every month?
No, we use a perpetual booking system, which means your child's spot automatically rolls over from month to month. This continues until your child can swim or you decide to stop. As long as your swim fees are up to date, your child’s place remains secure.

Can I book and then pay later?
No, you will need to make your payment at the time of booking to secure your child’s place.

Are lessons held on public holidays?
No, we don’t hold lessons on public holidays.

Are lessons held on student-free days?
Yes, lessons as usual on student-free days.

Are lessons held during the school holidays?
Yes, we operate over all school holidays, except for two weeks over Christmas and four days over Easter.

How can I communicate my child’s absence to Dipadees?
To notify us of an absence, simply log into My Swim Account, select “Classes”, and mark your child absent at least one hour before your lesson. This ensures you receive a make-up token and helps other children looking for a make-up lesson. Super Dipper and Missile levels should email [email protected] to request a make-up lesson.

Can I have a replacement lesson?
Yes, if fees are up to date and the absence was added at least one hour before your lesson, you'll receive a complimentary make-up token. You can book your make-up lesson by logging into My Swim Account, select “Classes”, then “Make-ups”. Super Dipper and Missile levels should email [email protected] to request a make-up lesson.

Does my make-up token have an expiry date?
Yes, make-up tokens expire 90 days from the missed lesson.

Will I be charged for missed lessons?
Yes. We still incur the same costs when a lesson is missed—your teacher is rostered, and the pool must be heated and staffed. When you book a class, we hold that spot for your child, even if they can’t attend. We understand that illness and unexpected events happen, which is why we offer an easy online make-up token system, ensuring your child has enough time in the water to continue progressing.

Other important information to know about missed lessons:
  • Make-up tokens cannot be used as credits for future lessons or after cancelling.
  • Make-up lessons are only provided if you have a current enrolment and fees are up to date.

Are lessons held when it’s raining?
Yes, our pool is heated to 32 degrees and fully enclosed so you will be very comfortable. If a storm is near and the deck supervisor temporarily closes the pool, we will issue a make-up token for any cancelled lessons.

Can I change time or days?
We'll always do our best to accommodate changes, though availability can vary depending on the day and time you're after. To request a change, simply email our admin team on [email protected], and we'll be happy to assist.
How do I cancel my booking?
If you need to cancel your child’s lessons, just send us an email to let us know. We ask for two weeks’ written notice so we can process the cancellation and stop your payments.

How best can I make contact with Dipadees?
Visit our contact page, fill in the details, and we'll be in touch with you.

Do you have a mobile App?
Yes! Download 'The iClassPro App' from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. When prompted for the name of the organisation search for dipadees101.

What happens if my child doesn’t enjoy swim lessons?
While most children love their lessons at Dipadees, if your child is struggling, please let us know as soon as possible. We're committed to working with you to find a solution that helps your child enjoy their experience and make progress.

Can we swim in the pool before, during or after the lesson?
For safety reasons, children must stay dry until their teacher meets them at the pool edge and invites them in. At the end of the lesson, the teacher will bring your child back to the edge and “officially” hand them back into your care. For our Baby and Toddler classes, we kindly ask that parents wait in the seating area or near the change tables until the class is called.

Are there times adults can lap swim?
We offer limited times for lap swimmers, water walk and other aquatic exercises. Please click here for further details.

What is your pool water quality like?
At Dipadees, we have invested in a Brauer pool filtration system that eliminates 99.9% of bacteria and viruses that can live in pool water. As a result, we have been awarded the HealthySwim certification.

Does my child need to wear goggles?
Goggles are good fun and necessary once children start to swim laps. However, in the early stages of learn to swim children should learn without goggles, just so they don’t panic when water gets in their eyes. We have quality goggles available for sale at the swim school and our friendly staff will assist with fitting.

Does my child need to wear a cap?
Yes, all children aged three and over need to wear a swim cap. This ensures hygiene, improves water quality, and keeps hair out of your child’s eyes and mouth, helping them focus during lessons. We sell easy-to-use caps at our reception.

Do we need sun protection?
No, Dipadees is an indoor facility, so your child will be protected from the sun, wind and rain.
Why is the amount processed different from the swim lesson price?
Our payment provider, Worldpay for Platforms (formerly known as Payrix), charges a small processing fee for each transaction. These fees are:
  • Bank account debits: $0.88 per transaction
  • Credit card payments: $0.33 per transaction plus 1.87% of the total amount
Thanks to 99% of our families choosing to pay automatically each month, we're able to keep our admin costs low - which helps us avoid unnecessary increases to swim fees.

My payment failed - what happens now?
If your payment fails, you'll receive an email from us letting you know we'll try again within seven days. We'll continue attempting the payment until it goes through successfully. Alternatively, you're welcome to log into the customer portal and pay any overdue fees at your convenience. Please note:
  • A $5 admin fee may apply if a third attempt is needed.
  • If fees fall more than two weeks behind and we've not been able to reach you, your booking may be cancelled.
  • Worldpay fees for failed transactions:
         - Bank account rejection: $5.50 (charged to you)
         - Credit card rejection: $0.33 (covered by Dipadees)
