Welcome to eNews for November 2023. With summer at our doorstep what better way to prepare than to have your child learn to swim.  We also offer the second lesson (per week) at half price, this is great value.

Swimming lessons for babies help to address safety concerns. For the bigger kids, consistent practise during lessons will continue to develop the strokes helping the child to become a safer more efficient swimmer, and of course lessons are a fun, healthy activity for children.

Lap Swimming
During the summer months lap swimming at Dipadees is a great way to beat the heat and is out of the sun.
Times are Monday 8-9am, Tuesday 12-1pm, Wednesday 8-9am, Thursday 12-1pm and Friday 2-3pm.  Cost for a swim is $8.50

​We have a busy couple of months ahead of us in the lead up to Christmas!

• SwimSAFER week 20th - 26th November 
• Diving Clinic Friday 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th November at Grovely State School 
• Swim School Christmas Party 9th December, details to come.
• Race Nights for the rest of the year are 10th November, 24th November and 8th December. Start time is 6pm, arrive at 5.45pm for nominating for races. Cost is $5.00 per swimmer (includes sausage, any additional sausage is $2.50)

Dipadees will be closed for Christmas from Saturday 23rd December 2023 to Friday 5th January 2024 inclusive. Learn to swim customers are not charged for lessons that fall during our Christmas closure.  

Lessons will be held at your usual time and day during the rest of the school holidays. If you are going on holidays outside of our Christmas closure dates be sure to mark your child absent in the portal at least one hour prior to their lesson time to receive a token.

What is the funniest experience you have had while at work?
Something is always funny when I work with Miss Jenny. She always cracks me up. 
Describe one of your favourite memories at Dipadees?
Always when one of my students realise I'm not holding on and they have achieved what they were trying to do. 
What was your first job?
During highschool I worked at the Gabba in hospitality.
Where are you from?
Brisbane  
What do you do in your spare time?
Usually go to the coast. Surfing, skate boarding and taking my dog for walks. 
Do you have any hobbies?
Gardening and making things out of driftwood.
Can you play any instruments? 
I can play a little piano, guitar and ukulele.
