Welcome to the September 2024 Newsletter. Well done to the Australian Olympic team! Paris 2024 is the most successful games in Olympic history, it was awesome to watch these amazing athletes. We have time to prepare for the Brisbane Olympics, so let’s keep swimming!

Staff Profile - Miss Megan
​How long have you been working at Dipadees? Two and a half lovely years.
What is the funniest experience you have had while at work?
The facial expressions delivered by Little Nipper 1's and Little Nipper 2's can be priceless, for such little faces they can pack in a lot of communication.
Describe one of your favourite memories at Dipadees?
It is always great to see the joy and sense of achievement when it all clicks and a little swimmer suddenly takes off like a fish. But one moment in particular I recall; a parent who wasn't the usual parent in the water came to class, their child had recently gained confidence and improved skills, one kangaroo jump later and the parent was totally blown away by their child. It was nice to catch the moment between the three of them.
What was your first job?
I packed shelves at Coles.
Where are you from?
Cenny Coast! or more formally Forresters Beach NSW.
What do you do in your spare time?
Play with toy race cars, build forts, chase after my toddler. If there is genuine spare time I might attempt cooking something far beyond my skills to mixed results.
Do you have any hobbies?
I love a good book and a little adventure, bush walking or a bike ride, maybe a cheeky kayak. If a day out involves an unnecessary topo then I am happy.
Can you play any instruments? 
Many years ago I could play the piano, if we go back even further, the clarinet.
