We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support over the last 12 months. It has been wonderful to walk around the pool deck and hear how well the children have been swimming at their school swimming carnivals. We work very hard on teacher consistency and I think this has a real impact on the child’s progression. Thank you for being a part of our community—wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We look forward to welcoming you back when we re-open on 11th January.
Did you know our outstanding Learn to Swim Baby and Toddler Program has been especially designed to teach water awareness and water safety skills such as kicking, turning, reach and holds, submerging and back floating - all hidden within our playful activities. The more fun you have in the water with your babies, the more likely they are to buy into those “secret” swimming skills you’re teaching!

Staff Profile - Miss Emily
How long have you been working at Dipadees? Almost four years. What is the funniest experience you have had while at work? That’s a tough one. It’s probably when in the squads, the students suddenly forget how to do a particular stroke and end up doing something random. I do have to give them points for creativity though, it is very funny watching what they come up with. Describe one of your favourite memories at Dipadees? Probably working with two of my sisters and watching another sister swim. Also, the conversations I get to have every week with the staff. What was your first job? Working for an airline in reservations. Where are you from? Brisbane. What do you do in your spare time? Soccer and swimming, when I am not injured - which is rare. I do also love to bake and have started a vege patch in my backyard, which is going well. Can you play any instruments? Not anymore, but I played the violin and flute in primary school. |
